Happy New Year, lets /poke the old one!

Phew, been a long time since I logged into FFXI, due to the death of my Internet connection, and a week later, my PC finally tapping out. Ugh. Festivities have beenpretty good here, though I have eaten at least 2 tonnes more than I should have. Got some cool prezzies too!

So I have a new PC, off the shelf, but very nice compared to my old junker. Looking forward to seeing how FFXI runs on it. Maybe (just maybe) ill be lag free. Also looking forward to logging back in to the game XD

The Christmas Stuffs

Yeah Christmas was good despite everything being broken, including my little Brothers Nintendo Wii. Bless him he was really disappointed, as were we all. Two days later however the courier guy has a nice surprise for him. A brand spanking new Wii, and an old broken one still in his possession >.> I’m gonna see if they forgot about it Wii Sports is a brilliant example of the accessibility the platform offers, but Twilight Princess is the real killer. Absolutely gorgeous game, and a ton of fun with the new weapon mechanics.

I was lucky enough to get these amongst others:

• Apple iPod Nano (Yay the RED one!)

• Final Fantasy XI Clock (this was an early gift)

• Simpsons themed Donut maker for the kitchen

• A sweet Spidey figure

So its almost 2007… wow life really does pass me by sometimes T.T Some memories and fave stuff from the year gone by.

In terms of FFXI, the big thing was the expansion pack. I wasn’t around at the time of the CoP release, and I must say the buzz was immense. Really exciting stuff. The new areas offer us a ton of new gameplay modes, some hardcore EXP spots, and 3 new jobs. Of which I wasn’t too blown away by. Still nice to have some variation ^^

I’ll never forget the first Besieged. All of us waiting with baited breath for the event to kick in, watching the enemy status bar every few seconds and updating the rest of Al Zhabi in /shout. Then the CS starts, and we are finally in business. For around a minute until the vile horde had been turned back before most had loaded anything on screen Very funny day.

Its been a good year in FFXI, if nothing but eventful. I’m happy with how things turned out though. It was productive, and I finally found a group I can consider real friends. Thanks everyone ^^
